Published Date May 09, 2020

Wondering how to tie dye towels? Or maybe towels are the last thing in your house you haven't tie dyed - yet. Either way, Handmade Charlotte will show you how to dry off in style with your very own creativity and a little help from the Tulip One-Step Tie Dye Party Kit. Bath time/beach time/any time just got better.

What you need:

Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye Party Kit or kit of choice

- White 100% cotton towels

- Plastic wrap or bag

How To Tie Dye Towels - bind with rubber bands

Make sure your towel has been washed (without fabric softener) and leave damp. Place on your covered work surface and scrunch or roll it vertically. Wrap rubber bands around the towel several inches apart, along the entire length of the towel, to secure it before tie dyeing.

How To Tie Dye Towels - mix dyes

Add water to your dye bottles and shake to mix. For an extra colorful tie-dye towel, choose a different dye color for each banded section!

How To Tie Dye Towels - apply dyes

Apply dyes to each section, rotating the towel so you add dye all parts of the section.

How To Tie Dye Towels - let dye set

Wrap your towel in plastic to keep damp while the dye processes 6 to 8 hours, or overnight. After it's finished processing, remove the rubber bands, rinse and launder according to instructions.
